Online Dating Desperation?
Is turning to online dating a sign that you’re desperate? I’ve often asked a lot of people if they would ever sign up for a service and many people say no. Either they’re too shy to say that they would and have, or they just never would.
People still believe that posting a personal ad is a sign of desperation and that you’ve given up on finding love “the old fashioned way.” I say, open your mind and sign up if you’re curious!
Since we all rely so much so technology and the Internet (email, websites, blogs, treos, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries…) it’s only natural that we would start using services like Craigslist, eBay, and online personals.
Afterall, I recall it not being too long ago that not a lot of people would ever consider going a garage sale to buy things, because used things are garbage. Well, Craigslist is like the ultimate garage sale venue, full of useful things that can save you uber $$$.
Times are changing and the attitudes towards personal ads are also. I have many friends who have tried it and several of which are either engaged or happily dating. Good luck!
